Who Wants Their Name in Peoples' Mouths?

1000 years of fame or a long, less than fulfilling life? Well, based on what I know, fell, and believe I think I would choose the average Joe life. First of all, what is a thousand years of fame compared if you're not alive to enjoy it? It sounds simple, "But everyone will know who you were!" but I really couldn't care less about what people think of me know or in a million years. This probably comes from a teenage mindset, "sticks and stones," but happiness is better that everlasting fame in my book. Oh and you can put like $100 in an account with like 5.5% interest and 75 years later be super rich, which is always nice.
The only thing that one can have that is really everlasting is the soul. Life is a one-time gig and shouldn't be wasted, but I believe their is life
beyond living. So, there is really nothing wrong with living fast and dying young, but I wonder about the status of my eternal soul, so option number one is out of the question.
The full experience of life cannot be attained through hard partying and crystal meth. It takes time, and is full of ups and downs. Although the average Joe is faceless, nameless, an extra, he is probably more happy in the long run than the decomposed rock star. And who's to say the average Joe can't amount to anything at all? If he raises his kids right, lives with integrity, and harms no others, he really is famous.
So, the quiet life of mediocracy sounds just like me, just not now.
